AN ACT relative to outdoor automatic sprinkler systems.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Three

AN ACT relative to outdoor automatic sprinkler systems.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Automatic Outdoor Sprinkler Systems. Amend RSA 481 by inserting after section 21 the following new section:

481:21-a Automatic Outdoor Sprinkler Systems; Rain Sensor Required. Any new installation or upgrade of an automatic outdoor sprinkler system shall include the installation of a rain sensor or device which will override and suspend the operation of the sprinkler system during periods of rainfall. This section shall not apply to golf courses or agricultural systems.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
