STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Three

AN ACT relative to a supplemental veteran designation for legislative license plates.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Veteran's Designation for Legislative Plates. Amend RSA 261 by inserting after section 91 the following new section:

261:91-a Veteran's Designation for Legislative Plates. The department shall design and issue to every legislator who is also an honorably discharged veteran, a self-adhesive decal on which is printed the word "VETERAN." The decal shall be designed to match the radius of, and placed above, the state seal on the legislative plate. Such decal shall be issued only upon proof of honorable discharge from the armed services as deemed appropriate by the director.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
