AN ACT relative to charging a disposal fee for temporary signs.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Three

AN ACT relative to charging a disposal fee for temporary signs.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Subparagraph; Charge for Temporary Signs. Amend RSA 31:39, I by inserting after subparagraph (n) the following new subparagraph:

(o) The establishment of a fee to be charged for any temporary signs, including campaign signs, placed along highway rights-of-way within the municipality. The purpose of the fee shall be to pay for removal and disposal of signs after the purpose of the sign has expired. Said fee shall not exceed $.50 per square foot per sign.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
