HOUSE BILL 1139

AN ACT relative to vehicles stopping in travel lanes.

ANALYSIS

This bill prohibits departing a vehicle in the travel lane of any way without first activating the emergency indicator lights of the vehicle.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Three

AN ACT relative to vehicles stopping in travel lanes.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Stopping, Standing, or Parking Prohibited in Specified Places; Travel Lanes. Amend RSA 265:69 by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:

IV. Depart a vehicle in the travel lane of any way without first activating the emergency indicator lights of the vehicle.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2005.
