STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Three

AN ACT relative to the percentage of ownership in physician hospital organizations.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Limiting Percentage of Ownership in Physician Hospital Organizations. Amend RSA 151 by inserting after section 31 the following new section:

151:32 Percentage of Ownership Limited in Physician Hospital Organizations. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the percentage of ownership in a physician hospital organization by a physician, nurse, or any other person having the ability to refer patients shall not exceed 15 percent.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
