HOUSE BILL 1383

AN ACT relative to full faith and credit in judicial proceedings.

ANALYSIS

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Three

AN ACT relative to full faith and credit in judicial proceedings.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Chapter; Full Faith and Credit. Amend RSA by inserting after chapter 524-A the following new chapter:

CHAPTER 524-B

FULL FAITH AND CREDIT

524-B:1 Full Faith and Credit.

I. The courts of this state shall accept as a primary threshold standard, Article IV, section 1 of the United States Constitution in all judicial proceedings.

II. A party may provide notice to a court of a judicial proceeding entitled to full faith and credit by submitting its citation to the court.

III. It shall be the exclusive duty of the court to provide authority to counter any judicial proceeding.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2005.
