HOUSE BILL 1404
AN ACT prohibiting the release of information by university of New Hampshire officials in cases where students have contact with university of New Hampshire police.
ANALYSIS
This bill provides that no information concerning contact of any kind between any university of New Hampshire student who is 18 years of age or older and the university of New Hampshire police, shall be released by a university of New Hampshire official, unless authorized by the student involved or unless there is an imminent threat to the life of the student involved.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Three
AN ACT prohibiting the release of information by university of New Hampshire officials in cases where students have contact with university of New Hampshire police.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Subdivision; Release of Information. Amend RSA 187-A by inserting after section 41 the following new subdivision:
Release of Information
187-A:42 Release of Information Prohibited. No information concerning contact of any kind between any university of New Hampshire student who is 18 years of age or older and the university of New Hampshire police, shall be released by a university of New Hampshire official, unless authorized by the student involved, or unless there is an imminent threat to the life of the student involved.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2005.
