SENATE BILL 533

AN ACT relative to licensing requirements for certain recreation and child care programs.

AMENDED ANALYSIS

This bill clarifies that municipal recreation programs and similar programs offered by the Boys and Girls Club; Girls, Inc.; YMCA; YWCA; and any school or church group shall be exempt from the child day care licensing requirements under RSA 170-E.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Four

AN ACT relative to licensing requirements for certain recreation and child care programs.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

235:1 Child Day Care Licensing; Exemptions; Municipal Recreation. Amend RSA 170-E:3, I(f) and (g) to read as follows:

(f) Municipal recreation programs, including after-school and summer recreation programs.

(g) Any recreation program [of the Boys Club; Girls Club] offered by the Boys and Girls Club; Girls, Inc.; YMCA; YWCA; and any school or church group.

235:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
