AN ACT relative to denial of fertility treatment to a fertility patient.
ANALYSIS
This bill prohibits hospitals or other facilities offering fertility treatment services from denying a patient such services, except for medical or payment reasons.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five
AN ACT relative to denial of fertility treatment to a fertility patient.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Denial of Fertility Treatments Prohibited. Amend RSA 151 by inserting after section 12-a the following new section:
151:12-b Denial of Fertility Treatments Prohibited. No hospital or other facility licensed pursuant to this chapter which provides fertility treatment services shall deny such services to any patient for any reason other than medical or payment reasons.
2 New Paragraph; Denial of Fertility Treatment Services Prohibited. Amend RSA 151:21 by inserting after paragraph XX the following new paragraph:
XXI. A patient shall not be denied fertility treatments except for medical or payment reasons.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2006.
