STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five

AN ACT relative to the acuity-based reimbursement system developed by the department of health and human services.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Acuity-Based Reimbursement System; Supervision of Certain Clients. Amend RSA 151-E:6 by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:

IV. Unless otherwise required by federal law, the acuity-based reimbursement system developed by the department shall incorporate the costs of supervision of clients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or related dementias or Alzheimer’s complicated by psychiatric symptoms for those nursing facilities equipped to deal with these diagnoses.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
