HOUSE BILL 360
AN ACT relative to the amendability of warrant articles requesting appropriations in official ballot towns.
ANALYSIS
This bill restricts the amount of the appropriation in an amended official ballot warrant article from deviating more than 10 percent from the original warrant article amount.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five
AN ACT relative to the amendability of warrant articles requesting appropriations in official ballot towns.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Subparagraph; Amended Warrant Articles. Amend RSA 40:13, IV by inserting after subparagraph (b) the following new subparagraph:
(c) Warrant articles making appropriations shall not be amended to change by more than 10 percent the appropriation of the original warrant article, unless the amended warrant article is presented by the governing body, or if it is a petitioned warrant article, by the original petitioner.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
