AN ACT relative to insurance premiums for medical malpractice liability insurance.
ANALYSIS
This bill requires medical malpractice insurers to base medical malpractice premium rates for medical malpractice liability insurance on New Hampshire statistics instead of national statistics.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five
AN ACT relative to insurance premiums for medical malpractice liability insurance.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Premium Rates for Medical Malpractice Rates. Amend RSA 400-A by inserting after section 15-b the following new section:
400-A:15-c Premium Rates for Medical Malpractice Insurance. Notwithstanding any rule or provision of law to the contrary, insurers shall base medical malpractice premium rates for medical malpractice liability insurance on New Hampshire statistics not national statistics.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
