AN ACT relative to the salary of the state veterinarian.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Salary Group Change; State Veterinarian. Amend RSA 94:1-a, I by:
I. Deleting in Group FF:
FF Department of agriculture, markets, and food state veterinarian
II. Inserting in Group II:
II Department of agriculture, markets, and food state veterinarian
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.

HB 596-FN - FISCAL NOTE
AN ACT relative to the salary of the state veterinarian.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Department of Administrative Services has determined this bill will increase state general fund expenditures by $25,410 in FY 2006 and each year thereafter. There will be no fiscal impact on county and local expenditures or state, county, and local revenue.
METHODOLOGY:
The Department states this bill will increase the annual salary of the state veterinarian. The Department assumes the incumbent state veterinarian will remain in the position and will move from Group FF, Step 5 to Group II, Step 5. The Department states the state veterinarian’s annual salary will increase $17,646, from $71,482 to $89,128, and benefit costs will increase $7,764 ($17,646 x 44% benefit rate = $7,764). Therefore, state general fund expenditures will increase $25,410 ($17,646 + $7,764 = $25,410) in FY 2006 and each year thereafter.
