STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five
AN ACT allowing recipients of the National Defense Service Medal to be eligible for the veterans’ property tax credit.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Veterans’ Credit; Eligible Service; National Defense Service Medal Added. Amend RSA 72:28, V(h) and (i) to read as follows:
(h) “Vietnam Conflict’’ between July 1, 1958 and December 22, 1961, if the resident earned the Vietnam service medal or the armed forces expeditionary medal; [ and]
(i) Any other war or armed conflict that has occurred since May 8, 1975, and in which the resident earned an armed forces expeditionary medal or theater of operations service medal[.]; and
(j) Any war or armed conflict for which a person has received the National Defense Service Medal.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect April 1, 2005.
