STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Five

A RESOLUTION commending the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on their championship.

Whereas, in 2004, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats returned professional baseball to Manchester; and

Whereas, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats finished in first place in the Northern Division of the Eastern League; and

Whereas, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats defeated the Binghamton Mets to reach the Eastern League Championship Series; and

Whereas, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats swept the Altoona Curve to become the 2004 Eastern League Champions; and

Whereas, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats have established themselves as an elite club in the ranks of Class AA professional baseball; and

Whereas, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats have united the sports fans of New Hampshire through their skillful play and steadfast determination on the baseball diamond; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the general court of New Hampshire hereby congratulates the 2004 Eastern League champion New Hampshire Fisher Cats for their outstanding inaugural season; and

That a suitable copy of this resolution shall be prepared by the house clerk and be presented to the management of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
