STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT requiring cellular telephone service providers to have a minimum 72-hour power backup capacity at each cell tower location.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Wireless Carriers Doing Business in This State; Requirements; Power Backup. Amend RSA 12-K:3 by inserting after paragraph IV the following new paragraph:

V. Have, at a minimum, a 72-hour power backup for each PWSF owned or operated by the carrier and used for cellular telephone services.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
