HOUSE BILL 1287

AN ACT requiring legislative approval of any rules proposed by the state board of education.

ANALYSIS

This bill provides that all rules proposed by the state board of education shall first be approved by a vote of the house and senate education committees prior to submission of such rules to the joint legislative committee on administrative rules.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT requiring legislative approval of any rules proposed by the state board of education.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 State Board of Education; Duties of Board. Amend RSA 21-N:11, V to read as follows:

V. Adopt rules as provided in 21-N:9, provided that all rules proposed by the state board of education shall first be approved by a vote of the house and senate education committees prior to submission of such rules to the joint legislative committee on administrative rules.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
