HOUSE BILL 1336

AN ACT relative to administrators of estates.

ANALYSIS

This bill requires an administrator of an estate to disclose in writing to the probate court if any family member or business associate of the administrator performed services which the administrator is charging to the estate.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT relative to administrators of estates.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Disclosure by Administrator of Charges for Certain Services. Amend RSA 554 by inserting after section 19-a the following new section:

554:19-b Disclosure by Administrator of Charges for Certain Services. The administrator of an estate shall disclose in writing to the court if any family member or business associate of the administrator performed services which the administrator is charging to the estate.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2007.
