HOUSE BILL 1541
AN ACT requiring applicants for large groundwater withdrawal permits to comply with local ordinances.
ANALYSIS
This bill requires an applicant for a large groundwater withdrawal permit to provide the department of environmental services with evidence of compliance with all applicable local ordinances before the department may issue a large groundwater withdrawal permit.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six
AN ACT requiring applicants for large groundwater withdrawal permits to comply with local ordinances.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Approval for Large Groundwater Withdrawals; Compliance with Local Ordinances Required. Amend RSA 485-C:21 by inserting after paragraph VII the following new paragraph:
VIII. An applicant for a large groundwater withdrawal permit shall provide the department with evidence of compliance with all applicable local ordinances before the department may issue a permit for a large groundwater withdrawal.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
