AN ACT relative to the annulment of the arrest record of a person found not guilty by a jury.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT relative to the annulment of the arrest record of a person found not guilty by a jury.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Annulment of Criminal Records; Jury Finding of Not Guilty. Amend RSA 651:5 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:

II-a. The arrest record of any person who has been found not guilty by a jury shall be immediately annulled at no cost to the person.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2007.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The Legislative Budget Assistant has determined that this legislation has a total fiscal impact of less than $10,000 in each of the fiscal years 2007 through 2010.
