AN ACT relative to highway welcome signs.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT relative to highway welcome signs.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

160:1 New Section; Welcome Signs. Amend RSA 228 by inserting after section 46-a the following new section:

228:46-b Welcome Signs. Any highway welcome sign erected at the state border by the department of transportation shall prominently display the state motto: “Live Free or Die.”

160:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
