AN ACT relative to suspensions of liquor licenses.

This bill authorizes the suspension of a liquor license upon petition by a city or town that the licensee poses an immediate risk to public health, safety, or welfare.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven
AN ACT relative to suspensions of liquor licenses.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Liquor License Suspension or Revocation. Amend RSA 179:57 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:
III. The commission shall suspend any license issued under this title upon accepting a petition from the governing body of a city or town identifying an immediate risk to public health, safety, or welfare caused by the licensee. The suspension shall be pursuant to the procedures established in RSA 541-A:30.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2008.
