STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven
AN ACT relative to automatic credentialing for health care providers.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Automatic Credentialing. Amend RSA 329 by inserting after section 14 the following new section:
329:14-a Automatic Credentialing. Notwithstanding RSA 420-J:4 or any other provision of law to the contrary, any person licensed pursuant to this chapter shall be automatically credentialed for the purposes of third party payors.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

HB 641 FISCAL NOTE
AN ACT relative to automatic credentialing for health care providers.
FISCAL IMPACT
The Department of Health and Human Services states this bill would have no fiscal impact on state, county, and local revenue or expenditures.
METHODOLOGY
The Department states this bill provides that any physician licensed under RSA 329 would be automatically credentialed for the purpose of third party payments. The Department approves and pays Medicaid claims submitted by licensed and credentialed physicians. The automatic credentialing of licensed physicians would not result in a fiscal impact to the Department.
