AN ACT relative to notification by pharmacies to consumers when prescriptions need to be renewed.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven
AN ACT relative to notification by pharmacies to consumers when prescriptions need to be renewed.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Notification to Consumers When Prescription Must be Renewed. Amend RSA 318 by inserting after section 47-g the following new section:
318:47-h Notification to Consumers When Prescription Must be Renewed. The pharmacist-in-charge of a pharmacy, or his or her designee, shall notify a consumer when the consumer’s prescription will need to be renewed before the prescription may be refilled.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
