AN ACT relative to grounds for modification of parental rights and responsibilities.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight
AN ACT relative to grounds for modification of parental rights and responsibilities.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Subparagraph; Grounds for Modification of Parental Rights and Responsibilities. Amend RSA 461-A:11, I by inserting after subparagraph (e) the following new subparagraph:
(f) A parent may petition the court for modification of such order 3 years after the entry of the last order for parental rights and responsibilities without the need to show a substantial change of circumstances. This subparagraph shall not prohibit either parent from applying at any time for a modification based on a substantial change of circumstance.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
