STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight

AN ACT relative to theft of stones from stonewalls.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Wilful Trespass; Stone, Etc. Amend RSA 539:4 to read as follows:

539:4 Stone, Etc. Whoever shall wilfully and unlawfully dig or carry away any stone, ore, gravel, clay, sand, turf or mold upon or from land holden in common or from the land of another person, or shall aid therein, shall [forfeit to the person injured treble damages, and not more than fifteen dollars] be guilty of a violation.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
