AN ACT relative to permission to discharge a firearm in the compact part of a town or city.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight

AN ACT relative to permission to discharge a firearm in the compact part of a town or city.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Breaches of the Peace; Unauthorized Use of Firearms and Firecrackers. Amend RSA 644:13, I to read as follows:

I. A person is guilty of a violation if, within the compact part of a town or city, such person fires or discharges any cannon, gun, pistol, or other firearm, except by written permission of the current chief of police [or] and governing body.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
