HOUSE BILL 1541

AN ACT relative to service in the Vietnam Conflict for purposes of qualification for the veterans’ property tax credit.

ANALYSIS

This bill removes the requirements for earning the Vietnam service medal or the armed forces expeditionary medal for service in the Vietnam Conflict for purposes of qualifying for the veterans’ property tax credit.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight

AN ACT relative to service in the Vietnam Conflict for purposes of qualification for the veterans’ property tax credit.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Veterans’ Property Tax Credit; Qualifying Wars or Armed Conflicts; Vietnam Conflict. Amend RSA 72:28, V(d) to read as follows:

(d) “Vietnam Conflict” between [December 22, 1961] July 1, 1958 and May 7, 1975;

2 Repeal. RSA 72:28, V(e), relative to service in the Vietnam Conflict, is repealed.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect April 1, 2008.
