STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight
AN ACT relative to the examination of acts and resolves before printing.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Bills and Resolutions; Examination Before Printing. Amend RSA 20:2-a to read as follows:
20:2-a Examination Before Printing. [After any bill or joint resolution has been enacted by the general court, but ] Prior to the printing of the acts and resolves of any session, the director of legislative services shall reexamine the same pursuant to the authority for enrollment of laws in RSA 14:8. If such reexamination shows any error or omission in the references to statutes, or other technical or clerical errors, the director is authorized to make the necessary corrections and the bill as thus corrected shall be [printed] prepared for final approval and submission to the governor. No change to an act or resolution may be made after signing by the governor.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
