STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eight

AN ACT naming a Prisoners of War/Missing in Action Memorial in Hesky Park in the town of Meredith.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Town of Meredith; Prisoners of War/Missing in Action Memorial Named. The site in Hesky Park in the town of Meredith consisting of a large stone and a flagpole shall be hereby named a Prisoners of War/Missing in Action Memorial in honor of our country’s veterans who were prisoners of war or are missing in action. Appropriate signage may be placed at the location of the memorial.

2 Signage. The cost of design, construction, maintenance, and installation of any signage, replacement signage, or other markers authorized under section 1 of this act shall not be a charge to the state. However, the design, construction, and installation of any signage or other markers at Hesky Park authorized under this act shall be approved by the town of Meredith and any signage or other markers in the state right of way authorized under this act shall be approved by the department of transportation.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
