AN ACT relative to operation of OHRVs on state highways in Coos county.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine
AN ACT relative to operation of OHRVs on state highways in Coos county.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Subparagraph; Operation of Certain Vehicles Within Highway Rights-of-Way. Amend RSA 236:56, II by inserting after subparagraph (e) the following new subparagraph:
(f) Coos County. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, in Coos county, persons operating OHRVs registered and operated in accordance with RSA 215-A shall be permitted to operate such OHRVs on all state highways within the county which are designated and posted by the governmental unit having jurisdiction as an OHRV access route, provided such operation also complies with the following:
(1) The speed of the OHRV shall not exceed 25 miles per hour.
(2) All persons over 16 years of age shall possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
(3) Any child under 16 shall possess an OHRV safety certificate and ride within 100 feet from a parent or legal guardian over 25 years of age.
(4) No child under 12 years of age may operate under this subparagraph.
(5) Operation shall be limited to the extreme right of the public way.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
