STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine

AN ACT requiring that the question relative to the necessity for a convention to revise the New Hampshire constitution be presented to the voters in the November 2010 general election.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Constitutional Convention; Question Presented to the Voters. Pursuant to the provisions of part 2, article 100 of the New Hampshire constitution and RSA 663:1, the following question shall be presented to the qualified voters of the state at the November 2010 general election: “Shall there be a convention to amend or revise the constitution?”

2 Constitutional Convention; Calling of the Convention. If the qualified voters of the state, under the provisions of part 2, article 100 of the New Hampshire constitution, shall determine that there is a necessity for calling a convention to revise the constitution, the general court shall call such convention in accordance with the provisions of the New Hampshire constitution and RSA 667.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
