STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine
AN ACT relative to eligibility for medical benefits payment by the retirement system for certain group I teacher and political subdivision employee members.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
12:1 Retirement System; Medical Benefits; Group I Teachers and Political Subdivision Employees; Early Retirees. Amend RSA 100-A:52-a, I(c) to read as follows:
(c) Any person who was eligible to retire as of July 1, 2008 prior to age 60 with no less than 20 years of group I creditable service and who [as of] retired on or before July 1, 2009 [retired] as a group I teacher member or political subdivision employee member [prior to age 60,] and who [subsequently] subsequent to July 1, 2008 attains the age of 60, or any person who was eligible to retire as of July 1, 2008 prior to age 55 with no less than 30 years of group I creditable service and who [as of] retired on or before July 1, 2009 [retired] as a group I teacher member or political subdivision employee member [prior to age 55], and who [subsequently] subsequent to July 1, 2008 attains the age of 55.
12:2 Application. The provisions of RSA 100-A:52-a, I(c) as amended by section 1 of this act shall apply to group I teachers and political subdivision employee members retroactive to May 21, 2008.
12:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
