AN ACT relative to personal trainers.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Ten
AN ACT relative to personal trainers.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Chapter; Personal Trainers. Amend RSA by inserting after chapter 328-H the following new chapter:
CHAPTER 328-I
PERSONAL TRAINERS
328-I:1 Personal Trainers; Duty to Disclose. Any person who holds himself or herself out to be a personal trainer or otherwise offers individual fitness training to individuals shall disclose in writing to each client the qualifications and education such trainer possesses prior to providing any services or accepting any fees from the client.
328-I:2 Penalty. Any person who holds himself or herself out to be a personal trainer or otherwise offers individual fitness training to individuals who fails to make the disclosure mandated by RSA 328-I:1 shall be guilty of a violation and fined $50 for each offense.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2011.
