STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Ten
AN ACT permitting patients to bring their medications to the hospital or health care facility.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Patient Medications. Amend RSA 151 by inserting after section 20-b the following new section:
151:20-c Patient Medications. A patient shall be allowed to bring his or her own medications to the facility; provided that such prescriptions are valid and provided further that such medications are used according to the hospital physician’s instructions.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2011.
