STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven

AN ACT directing the joint legislative oversight committee on the emergency management system to review the duties of certain other committees.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

109:1 Study by Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on the Emergency Management System Required.

I. The joint legislative oversight committee on the emergency management system, established in RSA 21-P:51, shall review for duplication of duties and possible consolidation all committees that have emergency management duties. The committees to be reviewed shall include, but not be limited to:

(a) The trauma medical review committee, established under RSA 153-A:8.

(b) The advisory committee on emergency preparedness and security, established under RSA 21-P:48.

(c) The emergency medical and trauma services coordinating board, established under RSA 153-A:3.

(d) The emergency medical services medical control board, established under RSA 153-A:5.

II. The joint legislative oversight committee on the emergency management system shall issue a report, together with any recommendations for legislation, to the commissioner of the department of safety and the commissioner of the department of health and human services on or before November 1, 2011.

109:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
