STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven
AN ACT relative to uniformed presence officers in highway work zones.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Highway Work Zones; Pay of Uniformed Presence Officers Limited. Amend RSA 228 by inserting after section 21 the following new section:
228:21-a Pay of Uniformed Presence Officers. Notwithstanding RSA 228:21 or any other law to the contrary, the commissioner of the department of transportation shall not set the amount of pay for a uniformed officer who is being utilized as a presence in a highway work zone in excess of 150 percent of the pay of flaggers on the same job.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
