AN ACT relative to the payment of bills by municipalities.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven
AN ACT relative to the payment of bills by municipalities.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Duties of Elected and Appointed Town Treasurers. Amend RSA 41:29 by inserting after paragraph VI the following new paragraph:
VI-a. The treasurer may authorize a town official or employee to pay accounts and claims, which are within the budget allocated by the legislative body, prior to the approval of such accounts and claims by the board of selectmen.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
