STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven

AN ACT relative to overdraft fees charged by banks.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraphs; Overdraft Fee Restriction. Amend RSA 382-A:4-401 by inserting after paragraph (d) the following new paragraph:

(e) A bank shall not charge an overdraft fee greater than $50.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
