STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven

A RESOLUTION urging the United States Congress to remove tax breaks for companies that send jobs out of the country.

Whereas, the unemployment rate in the United States remains high; and

Whereas, it is not in the interest of the country’s economic security for companies to outsource jobs during times of high unemployment; and

Whereas, current tax breaks encourage companies to outsource jobs to other countries; and

Whereas, one way of creating jobs in this country is to encourage companies to invest more in the United States; and

Whereas, companies operating in this country are having a difficult time rebounding from the economic crises; and

Whereas, tax breaks should be used to reward companies that create and keep jobs in this country; and

Whereas, it is in the interest of long-term security and development of the country to build business in the United States; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the New Hampshire house of representatives hereby urges the United States Congress to remove tax breaks for companies that send jobs out of the country; and

That copies of this resolution, signed by the speaker of the house, be forwarded by the house clerk to each member of the New Hampshire Congressional delegation.
