HOUSE BILL 1145
AN ACT relative to the New Hampshire public television’s affiliation with the university system of New Hampshire.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve
AN ACT relative to the New Hampshire public television’s affiliation with the university system of New Hampshire.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; State College and University System; Affiliation with New Hampshire Public Television. Amend RSA 187-A by inserting after section 16-a the following new section:
187-A:16-b Affiliation with New Hampshire Public Television. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the university system of New Hampshire shall not be affiliated with New Hampshire public television; nor shall New Hampshire public television be considered a component of any of the divisions, departments, colleges, or programs operated by the university system or the trustees of the university system. Pursuant to 2011, 224:356, any appropriation made in the capital or operating budget for New Hampshire public television shall be made directly to New Hampshire public television, and shall not be appropriated through or expended by the university system of New Hampshire or the trustees of the university system of New Hampshire.
2 Repeal. RSA 187-A:16, XXI, relative to insurance acquired by the university system trustees on behalf of New Hampshire public television, is repealed.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
