HOUSE BILL 1176
AN ACT relative to the amendment of warrant articles at official ballot town meetings.
ANALYSIS
This bill prohibits petitioned warrant articles from being amended at the deliberative session of the town meeting in towns that have adopted official ballot voting procedures.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve
AN ACT relative to the amendment of warrant articles at official ballot town meetings.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Subparagraph; Use of Official Ballot; Amendments to Warrant Articles. Amend RSA 40:13, IV by inserting after subparagraph (c) the following new subparagraph:
(d) No petitioned warrant article shall be amended.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
