AN ACT extending the committee to study the laws relating to electronic prescriptions.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve
AN ACT extending the committee to study the laws relating to electronic prescriptions.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
109:1 Study Committee Duties. Amend 2011, 117:3 to read as follows:
117:3 Duties. The committee shall study the laws relating to electronic prescriptions, in order to improve and encourage the use of electronic prescriptions. The committee shall monitor the controls established by the Drug Enforcement Administration for e-prescribing. The committee shall also monitor legislation enacted in North Dakota and Minnesota so that New Hampshire can seek appropriate opportunities to move forward with safe, efficient dispensing of pharmaceuticals that works for the patient, the doctor, and the pharmacy.
109:2 Study Committee Extended; Reporting. Amend 2011, 117:5 to read as follows:
117:109:5 Report. The committee shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate clerk, the house clerk, the chairpersons of the house and senate committees with jurisdiction over the subject matter, the governor, and the state library on or before [November 1, 2011] September 1, 2012.
109:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
