STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen

AN ACT relative to archeological investigations on private or public property.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Division of Historical Resources and Disposition of Historical Resources. Amend RSA 227-C:8 by inserting after paragraph VII the following new paragraph:

VIII. No archeological investigation of any type shall be required on any property unless there is concrete evidence that relics exist at the location. If there are significant relics found, the division of historical resources shall be notified and any work in the area shall cease until the division has had time to investigate.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
