STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen

AN ACT making a capital appropriation for the construction of a monument commemorating the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the Isles of Shoals by John Smith.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Capital Appropriation; Department of Resources and Economic Development; Isles of Shoals Monument. The sum necessary for design and construction is hereby appropriated to the department of resources and economic development, division of parks and recreation, for the construction on state land owned and maintained by the department of a monument commemorating the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the Isles of Shoals by John Smith. In addition, the commissioner of the department of resources and economic development may accept and expend grants, donations, and other non-state sources of funding to offset the appropriation made in this section.

2 Bonds Authorized. To provide funds for the appropriation made in section 1 of this act, the state treasurer is hereby authorized to borrow upon the credit of the state not exceeding said sum and for said purpose may issue bonds and notes in the name of and on behalf of the state of New Hampshire in accordance with RSA 6-A.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2013.
