AN ACT relative to the calculation of child support based on residential responsibility.

ANALYSIS

This bill prohibits the court from ordering the parent with primary residential responsibility to pay child support to the parent who does not have primary residential responsibility.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen

AN ACT relative to the calculation of child support based on residential responsibility.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Parental Rights and Responsibilities; Support. Amend RSA 461-A:14 by inserting after paragraph XVIII the following new paragraph:

XIX. No child support order shall be issued requiring a parent with primary residential responsibility to pay child support to a parent without primary residential responsibility.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
