STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fourteen
AN ACT relative to driving on limited access highways.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Driving on Divided Ways; Use of Left Lane of Limited Access Highways. Amend RSA 265:26 by inserting after paragraph I the following new paragraph:
I-a. A vehicle shall not be driven in the left lane of any limited access highway of 3 lanes or more with a posted speed limit of at least 65 miles per hour, except in overtaking a slower vehicle, in yielding to traffic coming onto such highway, or when traffic conditions exist which would prohibit safe use of the right or center lanes.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2015.
