STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fourteen
AN ACT relative to reporting of health care associated infections.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
8:1 Hospitals and Sanitaria; Residential Care and Health Facility Licensing; Reporting of Health Care Associated Infections; Limitations. RSA 151:35 is repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
151:35 Limitation. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, hospitals or ambulatory surgical facilities may provide, and the department may collect under this subdivision, any data or patient identifiers as set forth in the protocols and specifications published and periodically amended by the National Healthcare Safety Network; provided that an individual patient’s name, street address, city or town, telephone number, and social security number shall not be included in any data collected.
8:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
