SENATE BILL 378
AN ACT relative to identification information contained in political advertising.
AMENDED ANALYSIS
This bill permits reference to an Internet address in lieu of signature and identification requirements on political signs and placards. This bill also changes the effective date of modifications to the push-polling laws enacted in SB 196-FN.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fourteen
AN ACT relative to identification information contained in political advertising.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
147:1 New Paragraph; Political Advertising; Signature and Identification. Amend RSA 664:14 by inserting after paragraph VII the following new paragraph:
VIII. Political advertising in the form of signs or placards may contain an Internet address in lieu of the signature and identification requirements of this section, if the Internet address is printed or written in a size of type or lettering large enough to be clearly legible and the website immediately and prominently displays all of the information required by this section through election day.
147:2 Push-Polling; Effective Date. Section 4 of SB 196-FN of the 2014 regular legislative session is repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
147:3 Contingency. If SB 196-FN of the 2014 regular legislative session does not become law, section 2 of this act shall not take effect.
147:4 Effective Date.
I. Section 1 of this act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
II. The remainder of this act shall take effect upon its passage.
