SENATE BILL 381
AN ACT relative to the membership of the joint legislative oversight committee on the emergency management system.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fourteen
AN ACT relative to the membership of the joint legislative oversight committee on the emergency management system.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
206:1 Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on the Emergency Management System; Membership. Amend RSA 21-P:51, II and III to read as follows:
II. The committee shall consist of [9] 7 members:
(a) Six members of the house of representatives, 2 of whom shall be from the health, human services and elderly affairs committee and one of whom shall be from the science, technology and energy committee, appointed by the speaker of the house.
(b) [Three senators] One senator, appointed by the senate president.
III. The committee shall elect from its membership a chairperson, a vice-chairperson and a clerk. All members shall be appointed to serve on the committee for a term coterminous with the term of their elected legislative office, and may be reappointed if reelected to the same office. Three members of the committee shall constitute a quorum. Members of the committee shall receive mileage at the legislative rate when attending to the duties of the committee.
206:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
